Our Story
Anavox Films was born out of a simple conviction: that cinema is one of the most powerful languages in the world — and that language belongs to God.
Founded in Tampa, FL, we are a small team of filmmakers, writers, and creatives who believe that every story, told with honesty and craft, can become a vessel for truth. We don't make films that preach. We make films that ask questions, sit in tension, and ultimately point toward something greater than ourselves.
The name Anavox carries a meaning we hold close. Ana — from the Latin and Greek — means upward, or a new and rising voice. Vox means voice. Together: an upward voice. A voice directed toward something higher. We chose it because we believe that's what storytelling, at its best, can be — a voice that listens for God's direction and points others toward it.
